SAFE OPERATING PROCEDURES
1. Install your charger in a well ventilated position, on a non flammable surface, and allowa 200mm clearance all around.
2. Do not mount directly above the battery.If mounted on a raised platform restrain the charger, so it cannot be accidentally pulled down.
3. Maintain a 1 metre clearance above the charger and do not place items on the top. Any restriction to the airflow through the charger may cause it to overheat.
4. Identify the mains supply requirements on the manufacturer's nameplate on the charger, ensure your mains outlet is adequate, and protected by the appropriate circuit breaker.
5. Ensure the test tag on the mains lead is current.
6. Check mains cable and plug for damage - replace if necessary. (Replacement must only be done by a qualified technician).
7. When plugging into the mains supply always secure locking rings where fitted.
8. Check DC cable and plugs for damage replace/repair if necessary.
9. Ensure charger is switched off at the ON/OFF switch when connecting or disconnecting the battery.
10. WARNING - Dangerous voltage inside - do not remove covers from the charger at any time.
11. Refer to the standards relating to Batteries for ventilation requirements while the battery is charging.
