Stanbury Scarf & Lord are suppliers of Battery Charging Equipment for Electric Vehicles. We specialize in this product only as this enables us to continually monitor and develop improvements to our customers.
Since 1997 we have been supplying the Stanbury Switch Mode NG and N3G chargers at very competitive prices. These have delivered many advantages to our customers and in turn major advantages to the end user. Some of Australia’s major warehousing companies are using this equipment.
Stanbury New Generation Switch Mode battery chargers have presented to our customers a controlled charger that delivers precise current outputs to the battery. This means more precise charging. Coupled with a DV/DT control system the battery then receives exactly the correct charge without the battery temperature issues of conventional and SCR type chargers.
With a power factor of .94 (single phase) and .96 (three phase) they compare more than favourably with transformer type chargers (.67) and some SCR chargers (.55). The outcome of this is better efficiency where your customer benefits.
Power supply installation costs are lower because the AC current requirement of switch mode is some 30% less than transformer type chargers. Your customer also benefits through lower electricity costs due to this efficiency.
